AN EPIK JURNY

This game was flawless in every respect of the word. Looking forward to the sequel.

Oh dear God!

Are you perhaps going to make a tibetan prequel where the monk has to quest for gasoline to light himself on fire?

goddamn

That text was too much fun. Hax.

Hot

I am unfamiliar with the actionscript that makes buttons invisible and makes it so that the cursor doesn't change when going over one. I'm impressed by that at the very least.

As for the hidden clocks, I think you hid too much of them, most of the time it was just the very edge about five pixels wide almost totally obscured by the image in front of it. Very cool game though, it made it a lot more challenging (even when I cheated and zoomed in)

You cannot kill strawberry clock.

Very nice!

You should email Tom with the version with the full graphics and have him upload it for you to get around the limit, I'm sure he'd be glad to do it with a game of this calibre.

The graphics and interactivity were excellent, it reminded me very much of the old adventure games I played as a kid. My only problem with it was the fighting minigame seemed very bland and uninteresting, but overall the makeup of this game was absolutely excellent. Very good work, I would be very surprised if this didn't make front page.

Hot piss my good sir

This game is great! The controls are pretty smooth, the graphics and hilarious homemade sound effects really add to its charm. The cheesy smiles on all of their faces add to it as well.

Very well done, I hope you get front page, I don't doubt that you will. I guess it goes without saying I voted five.

BasV responds:

thanks a lot :D I did the sound effects myself indeed :) Don't forget to wipe the cheesy smile right off their faces!

WOW

this game is amazing I'm blown out of my mind!

Excellent game

I loved playing this. The graphics were nice, the gameplay was tight (if a little bit on the insane fast side) and FU's contibutions were superb as usual. The only beef I had with it was no matter whether you were killed by Carrot or Steak the ending sequence always featured you being killed by steak. Anyway, great bit of flash, favorite'd.

DarkMatterClock responds:

Yes, i originally planned 2 seperate death scenes...but the way it was codeded originally didnt allow for that, so i would have had to redo quite a bit of it and i wasnt willing to do that..i still liked the end result.

Wow

I'm going to go through all the tens and why they are absolutely totally beautifully justified.

Graphics: yeah the wacom makes it easier but that doesn't change that this was beautiful, stylistic, and more than just sticks. Magnificent, without a doubt.

Style: hearkening back to good old Johnny Rocketfingers 1 with new stylings reminding us of good old lucasarts classics. Remains suppish as the original.

Sound: crisp, sharp, brutal sound effects and good music. Nuff said

Violence: yes

Interactivity: my only qualm would be that if there were a save option it would be easier to play without having to worry about doing it all in one sitting. I spent well over an hour on this game, a rarity in flash, but worthwhile. Seeing as there would be a specific location and combination of items for each game, a skilled AS scripter (as NegativeOne obviously is) should be able to make an option to generate a code for someone's progress in the game

Humor: extremely clever monkey island and Loom references, funny puns, hilarious dialogue. I especially liked the conversation with the shopkeeper, he had a lot of personality. Pathetic, agonizing, annoying personality.

Overall: easily one of the best games on newgrounds, deserving of all the awards it got. I'm glad that the NG populace has had at least the good taste to give this the credit it deserves.

It was kind of okay...

...until I got thirty

Then it was awesome. I can't believe I haven't seen this until now. ph33r Tom Fulp
