It works...but not much else

I remember playing this game, with christmas-themed stuff and all, on my brand new state-of-the-art Christmas for Windows 95.

Thing is, I see nothing from this that couldn't be entirely copied and pasted actionscript and google image searched bitmaps. It literally brings nothing new, so I kind of see little point in submitting it.

Rather bland

Seems to be rather like Myst but without the interesting environments, sounds, music, or variety of interactions.

It's like Myst: Locked Myself In My Dorm Edition. Some of the 3D models were nice, but I note that some of the more complex ones had little to no texturing (a.e. most of the stuff on the computer) and the rest were low-poly models, usually with flat colors.

Hey if this is a precursor to something else I look forward to it, but it's just kind of a dull "click on absolutely everything and win by process of elimination of every other alternative" game.

Nothing much

Generic hook-up sim. If there were some clear list of commands, for example, then it would probably be better.

Phantasmagor responds:

Generic...?

Not bad

I thought the autopause when you click off screen was a particularly nice touch.

Nice

The difficult and generic interface was compensated for by nice and interesting art and animation. The attacks/deaths were inspired, I see this scoring quite well.

Wow

An unmoving bitmap of the guy from Assassin's Creed. That's the icing on the cake.

Hey cool only took two months to beat...

Magnificent game, pre-eminently frustrating. That's probably what kept me coming back...

And I particularly liked the easter egg, it was a nice touch. After all, who needs a crummy world to carry around when you have...something better.

Also you should talk to Tom about getting legit on-site medals, he can probably get that going.

All too easy.

Well it's kind of a nice oldschool atmosphere to the game, but it really could use some greater challenge and complexity. There was literaly one zombie and a bat as the enemies in this game, and this was stretched out for ten levels.

The aiming system was novel, but it seemed rather like a better tactic for an artillery game or guided missile game than a sniping game. It held little urgency save hoping to get a score better than "sharp shooter", which in itself is indicative of the difficulty curve, if it's the first time I'm playing the game and I'm getting high praise in the times when I screw up, it's wonky. The only challenge was the "oh it doesn't tell me I had to shoot that one bat while it was asleep until after I've lost."

I think it's an interesting engine, but I think it's misused and needs to be more in-depth for it to really have an appeal that's worth the annoying ads pasted all over it.

Perfect.

This game is everything that it should be. Execution, gameplay, and style are flawless. I laughed myself silly with the sheer brilliance of this. I think I'm getting my point across that, gosh, it's swell.

PaperBagMask responds:

Why thank you, you are a kind one!

Not bad

Excellent depth. Gameplay could use a little tweaking, but it's definitely something I can see playing for hours on end.

Grenades tend to glitch out, continuous spinning without ever landing or exploding.

fffffffffffffff
